“What about the civil rights of Christians they’re people too”: 1/2

The hate towards Christianity is continually stoked by the mainstream ideologues. Here in part one of two, we will cover recent mainstream attacks upon Christians and their civil rights.

Let us start with the 1st amendment right to speech:

In Florida, two Gideons were arrested for distributing bibles on a public sidewalk. A principle of a nearby school called the sheriffs office and told the two men that if they didn’t they would face trespassing charges; FOR BEING ON A PUBLIC SIDEWALK! The men weren’t even on school grounds. For those who don’t know, Gideons are members of Gideons International, a group dedicated to distributing bibles. If you’ve ever stayed in a hotel where there was a bible in the hotel room drawer chances are it was from them. I can remember Gideons coming to my fifth grade classroom to distribute them, they didn’t preach, they didn’t talk about Christ, they just passed them out.

There was also the incident back in July where a pastor had  planned on holding morning services near a Rehoboth Beach boardwalk for 8 weeks. The pastor even went through the process of applying for a government permit TO PERMIT HIS SPEECH! But he was denied and told by the City manager that he was uncomfortable with the church vs. state issue.

Also in July, a New York congregation named “The Gallery Church” was evicted from a rented space within a local BBQ restaurant where they had been holding service regularly. The Church claimed they were they could no longer have service at Hill Country Barbecue due to community upheaval which the church claimed had occurred after a sermon on homosexuality.

Everyone is also familiar with the IRS selectively targeting conservative groups; well churches were among these groups.

There has also been a recent push for a city ordinance in San Antonio, Texas. The Ordinance reads, “”no person shall be appointed to a position if the city council finds such person has, prior to such proposed appointment, engaged in discrimination or demonstrated a bias, by word or deed, against any person, group or organization on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, age or disability.” So if your a christian going to a church in San Antonio and that church does not acknowledge gay marriage, then that would be evidence of you having a bias against homosexuals. Once such evidence is presented then you could not serve in a government position.

Now that we’ve covered the assault upon their rights, what about the assaults upon their character and person.

A Journalist came out saying after much thought that she determined that she was a creationist. She was called a “Clueless C**T” and much worse for her religious disclosure.

Outside of Planned Parenthood, a Grandmother was kneeling on the ground praying. When another lady came out of the building telling her to get away, the lady proceeded to slap the grandmothers cell phone away and beat her.

This concludes Part 1/2
