The Knights list: The Top 15 best states to live in

We here at the Knight did our research into every state, looking for the ones which we might consider best to live in. We based our rankings on several factors like; Gun Rights, Income Tax, Sales Tax, Divorce Rate, Number of Welfare Recipients, etc.  Our criteria is split into three categories,

1) Does the State promote the 2nd amendment right to protect property; 2) the taxing burden of the state; 3) How bad is the entitlement culture within that state?.

Gun rights and taxes are ranked (1-50) 1=best 50=worst. If you wish to view the rest of the data we used for all 50 states click here.  As for the 15 worst they were: New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, California, Hawaii, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Rhode Island, Delaware, Washington, Minnesota, Iowa, Colorado,  and New Mexico; not necessarily in this order.
