Obama calling Benghazi a “Phony Scandal”

President Obama did his best to shift his administration’s focus to the economy a week ago during a speech at Illinois’ Knox College by blaming the anemic economy on Republicans and “phony scandals.” According to the President, “With an endless parade of distractions, political posturing and phony scandals, Washington has taken its eye off the ball”.

Since that Speech the President has come under heavy fire for calling the IRS story and Benghazi “phony scandals”; The mother of one of the men who died in Benghazi has spoke out against the president:

Up until today some have spoke out saying that the president wasn’t talking about Benghazi. But earlier today we did in fact receive confirmation that the president was talking about Benghazi.Below Jay Carney discusses how Benghazi and the IRS investigations are being blown out of context by partisan politics and he claims that they have failed to become scandals.
